This is the Football Caricatures by ‘Mac’ 1927-collection issued by John Player.
This collection consists of 50 numbered cards. This set also includes rugby players (38-50). ‘Mac’ was the nom the plume of artist Douglas Machin and some years later drew a similar series for Ogden’s Cigarettes.
Big players are: Dean, Hegan, John, Wilson and many others.
